Not that its necessary, but Fatin is legal!!!!
It’s been going on 9 years that Fatin and I have been friends, and this birthday party definitely takes the cake. THE LOUVRE! Definitely trumps any bar on 6th street or a typical birthday trip to vegas. It was absolutely stunning. Fatin and I both did a project on the Louvre in high school when we took french together and our toothpick model did not do it justice. We had way too much fun trying to get our fingers just right on the point.
It spells USA…if you couldn’t tell. We got many stares.
We couldn’t spend her birthday without getting nutella strawberry crepes and seeing the eiffel tower in daylight either. I can’t decide if I think its prettier during the day or at night. Either way there is nothing like it! Oh, and we still can’t find out why people keep calling us Lady Gaga and BBW (no that does not mean Big Black Women like the popular american song lyric). We will let you know if we find out why we are being addressed like this.
All in all we are having a blast! We have the metro down like its our own neighborhood and even though when we speak french everyone replies in english, we are still trying. It cracks me up every time I start speaking french and they either laugh or just speak english back. I didn’t think I looked that american… I am the only tall blonde with green eyes though. Fatin has no issue of course. We went to the currency exchange and after I pulled some Euros fatin went to the counter and the first thing the lady said was “what country?”. It was pretty funny. We also tried McDonalds last night at 2 am and the Scottish guy behind us started laughing because we didn’t know if there was a french word for french fries. I mean they are called french fries…He spoke english and enlightened us that there most definitely is a word, they are called pommes frites. He was the sassiest person I’ve ever met.
We also realized that America is nothing when it comes to a party. The bars/clubs don’t open until 11pm and close at 7am. We were so confused when people kept asking where we were going at 2am. Like sir we are going to bed…? Now we know that we were being grandmas last night…at 2am… Were going to go to the Mix Club tonight because its for university kids so we will definitely update y’all and compare it to America! Hope you enjoyed our day as much as we did!!
