I think I’m starting to like being the only white girl…

So Graham, Richard and I took a trip to the city ayutthaya as I mentioned before. It’s about a 2 hour train ride north of Bangkok. Well I forgot to mention that my ticket here was 15 baht. That’s under $.50… I know. So when we got here we went around and saw the ruins. They were actually really cool!! They date back to 1370! Honestly if you turned the ruins into a paintball arena it would be amazing. One day… lol

After walking the ruins we went back to take a nap to go out to the famous cowboy bar by the grand market. Well once we got there…. no one was there. Like i think 3 people? Maybe? Oh and we are the only white people in this city. I realized quickly it’s not much a tourist destination because NOTHING is in English. So after that disaster I said let’s keep walking along a road and see what there is to do. So we kept walking and found this bar saloon looking building. I heard music so I said let’s check it out. It. Was. Amazing.

We walk in and everyone turns because not only are we where but we’re a good two feet taller than everyone there. We get a table and immediately tables next to ya cheers us and try and make conversation. I could only understand “okay” and “my friend”. People here love to cheers you. I kid you not the table next to us did it like 40 times. Everyone also loves to take photos of you and with you. Makes you feel like a celebrity. There was a live band but it wasn’t just a band. They changed singers every song. It was sooooo cool! The videos are on my Facebook and snapchat. Then after the band it turned into a club. Honestly one of the best “nightlife” experiences of my whole trip. The people here are nothing but friendly. They go above and beyond for you and it really needs to be appreciated more.

Sadly but at the same time happily I head back to the states tomorrow and can not wait to come back. This country is by far the best I’ve been too. I will be writing a whole post about Thailand, but if you are thinking about coming. I would 12/10 recommend. I have not had one negative experience. Not even in he slightest bit. There is nothing like it and nothing better. I am so thankful for the hospitality, friendships, experiences, laughs and all the memories. I will be back as soon as I can!

See you all so soon!!
