Hopefully…
This city is gorgeous. I can’t get enough. Everything about it trumps all other places. The city, the people, the food (mainly the gelato) and most definitely the history. In a different life I would dedicate it to learning history and finding out how this city and the ruins came about. I would spend that life solving all the mysteries of this city.
Today we did a tour for 4 hours. We went to so many cool places I never would have seen on my own. And we got to learn the history behind all the places, it was incredible. It further proves my theory of how giant humans were. Sitting and staring at the Colosseum which was built in 92 BC…. howwww? I can’t fathom it what so ever. Or the columns of the Pantheon, which were each cut from 1 single block of marble. Not pieces out together but one giant block. They were legend to have been rolled and by boat carried from Egypt to Rome. How? How did they have the technology for that? Imagine how much rope and man power that would take to pull into place. Not possible, they had to be giants. Here’s a photo to see how big they are.

The ruins were stunning as well. To imagine what the cities used to look like, it was amazing. We went through this old town that used to be a Jewish Ghetto and it was surreal seeing what people lived like. Back then Mussolini made two ghettos for the Jews and built a wall around them. The Jews had to pay for the wall as well. They had to be back before sunset or they were excicuted. They werent allowed to own anything either and had to have basic jobs within their community. Throughout the town there are gold squares with people names on them and their birth date, arrest date and death date. And then at the bottom it says who took them. Most of them said “auschwitz” at the bottom. Some of them had the name of a cave where Mussolini excicuted and threw Jews into. One time he excicuted 350 Jews because 35 nazi died from a bomb set off in the termini station by Jews. He said I will take 10 jews for every soldiers death and went door to door and just took random families. This luckily is when people started to realize how insane he was.

There is so much to learn about this incredible city that I have to move here. The fashion is incredible. Seriously they kill it in window displays. I applied to work in the hostel I’m staying in so fingers crossed!
I hope each of you get the chance to come to not only Rome but Italy. I am in love. And Italian is very catchy and easy to learn.
Have a wonderful day! Ciao
