When in Rome

After an 8 hour bus ride we made it to the hostel…

I feel like I’m back in college! So many people are staying in this hostel and so many our age! And so many Americans…like so many. So of course we made a big group. We’ve got some North Carolina boys and girls, some Rhode Island and Connecticut boys, a girl from New York City, a girl from Austin who goes to UT and some cali dudes. And we’re all basically staying in the same hallway!

Last night all us Americans went down the the hostel bar where they were having karaoke night! Yes, yes I did get up on stage. Haha it was a blast! We met so many cool people and so many more Americans! Everyone is backpacking and has their own unique story why. Also almost everyone was in the same cities and countries fatin and I were just in, at the same time as us. Crazy!

It’s so fun meeting new people and making new friends! We’re all going to the Vatican today and then later going to hear the pope speak at the Basilica! I am so pumped for that!! I can’t wait to see this beautiful city! And especially with other backpackers because what do we love? Free and cheap attractions haha. For those looking into traveling I can say that every backpacker I’ve met we have agreed at how cheap traveling is. We all have been so shocked and pleased and want other people to realize that it is soooo cheap. I think I spend more money in one month just hanging around in Dallas than I do traveling Europe! So please feel free to ask me or Fatin questions, we’re very open!

Hope y’all have a great day!
