I love you more and more everyday.
Amsterdam is incredible. It’s gorgeous. Every single place you go has an amazing view. We’ve kinda done a lot the past few days so this post will just be jumbled around.
We went to the Vincent Van Gogh museum and that was incredible! The artwork and the brushwork was really unique! It was cool learning all about him and his family.
We mastered the metro and the tram for free. Technically it’s not free but the machines won’t take Visa cards nor cash so ya that’s all about that. We got stuck at a place though cause you had to use a ticket to get out and finally we told the attendant what happened and when he took us to a machine to pay, it stopped working so he let us go hahahah.
Weve had some fabulous wok lately and everywhere served huge French fries. Oh we also had some bomb Nutella churros where the guy gave us free macaroons and took a picture with me. They were so funny.
We went to the red light district during the day yesterday and honestly I didn’t like it. As a woman I just felt sadness and vulnerable even walking up and down. Seeing all the women in the window like prizes. Seeing all the men come in and out of the places. Just did not like walking the streets and we did not stay for long. I hope one day that stuff can become illegal here.
So they have no guns in Amsterdam, but luckily all the bird fly so low and try and dive into you that you don’t need one. Simply raise up your hand and just catch them.
Last night was the best one of all. We were going with our host and his English speaking friend to a “party” which really meant club with 50+ age attendees. Before that Toni, the hairdresser, made me wash my hair so he could style it and cut it. Well he looks at me and says “your hair is very damaged, it was bleached before”. And I’m over here like yes I know toniiiiii, my hair was like frost. So he did a keratin treatment and blew it out. We’re gunna take the scissors to it Sunday. Oh man hahah last night though everything Toni said was absolutely hilarious. He doesn’t speak good English but this other younger Dutch guy does and he helped. It was historical we couldn’t stop laughing all night.
Thats pretty much it so far!! Can’t wait to get into more adventures today!
